What do you do?

As a Graphic Designer, I ensure that our clients have a clear visual identity across all aspects of their marketing. My work centres on both digital and print platforms, as there is value to both depending on the needs of the client. The different mediums require a different approach, so I ensure that my work prioritises a user-centred design backed up by a thoughtful approach.

The wide range of creative projects I am involved in is a real highlight of the work that I do. Good design can have a truly meaningful impact on a client’s brand, giving their communications a way to cut through the noise and make them stand out from the crowd. While the list of the things I do is extensive, I particularly enjoy developing branding, print and digital assets, exhibition graphics, marketing materials and user-focused design solutions while collaborating with colleagues across different teams.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the job is when the work I have created as a concept is unveiled as a finished design, knowing that I had a hand in every step of the way. It is important to me that the designs I produce succeed in communicating key messages effectively and supporting successful campaigns. My time here has given me a valuable opportunity to strengthen my skills by taking on new challenges so that I can grow professionally as a designer.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My professional career began as a Freelance Graphic Designer in 2014. Being in control of my own schedule and workload, I was able to get a good working knowledge of how to manage project expectations and deadlines alongside other aspects of my life. The variety of clients I worked with saw me create branding, print, digital and marketing materials across a broad range of industries. Through this work, I developed a solid foundation for visual communication and client collaboration and how to manage these at each stage of a project.

Since joining Imagine That, previously called JE Consulting, in 2022, I have benefitted from the support of an expert team to further hone my skills. This has allowed me to expand my expertise to include branding and visual identity, UI design, editorial and layout design, exhibition graphics, digital marketing assets, social media content, presentations and print production.

As a full-service marketing agency, we work with so many different clients that the work I engage with still manages to be varied and exciting. There is a real need for high-quality design work that meets the unique needs of clients, so there is always something new to get stuck into.

I most value creativity, integrity, collaboration and continuous learning, but would also say that the best work comes from recognising that honesty, respect and teamwork are a vital part of the process. Design is supposed to connect with people, so taking the time to understand the things that matter to others is a core part of the design process. This allows me to create high-quality work that communicates ideas clearly and effectively to the exact people our clients need to reach.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I play cricket, go to the gym and enjoy cycling to keep fit. I also enjoy travelling and exploring new places, as experiencing different cultures and environments often inspires my creativity. In my downtime, I like watching films and spending time with family and friends, which helps me relax and recharge.
